In normal times, there's so much going on at Harbourfront Centre that it's easy to moor there and forget about setting sail further west to admire what lies ahead: the sculptural Simcoe WaveDeck (which also serves as a stylish boardwalk), the yellow umbrellas of HTO Park, the Toronto Music Garden, the tall totem of Little Norway Park and the impressive installation in remote Ireland park facing the CN Tower across the channel (a tribute to the 38,000 Irish immigrants who arrived here in 1847 to escape the great Potato Famine).
