BEST MURAL SPOTTING IN TOWN

MINDSET: When you want both culture and nature AND you are in no mood for concessions.

7,075 steps (4.6 km, 1 hr 10)

The Village of Islington BIA convinced its members to commission the wonderful artists John Kuna (a graduate of OCAD, Toronto) to paint most of the gorgeous murals gracing many walls of what has become an outdoor gallery. This part of town includes access to Mimico Creek.

It has not reached full gentrification yet, which adds to the fun of discovering these gems amidst little unpolished stores and unassuming restaurants, but cute businesses continue to pop up. You can eat macaroons at the European Patisserie, drink Turkish coffee at Galata and enjoy one more mural inside Italian Village Trattoria.
