MODERN VICTORIAN

MINDSET: When you want to time travel... but be back for dinner.

5,385 steps (3.5 km, 55 minutes)

It was a stroke of genius to refurbish the Victorian industrial buildings left by the Gooderham & Works empire into a beautiful historical haven. The four-block carless site includes condos, art galleries, one-of-a-kind retail shops and restaurants. it is peppered with huge pieces of art and outdoor patios to admire it all.

Exposed brick everywhere makes you feel like you're in a European village. The Flatiron Building, where the distiller had its office further west, is the perfect complement to this stroll.

LATEST NEWS

(as of end of August 30, 2020)

We had the chance to eat at El Catrín patio and it was one of the best physical distancing experience I've had so far! The patio is huge and allows for plenty of gorgeous safe room.

Most patios are well equipped to cater to their clientele during the winter LightFest so I expect the site will be perfect this winter, in times of COVID-19...
